For the equity part, you can use the beta. Damodaran has bunch of lectures just dedicated on what beta to use. So please check out his website.

I think there is a problem using a beta for a private company. For private company valuations, you can use an Ibbotson build up method, a Schilt risk premium or the Duff & Phelps study.
