Then by the rules of significant figures, you can only keep one sigfig: \[2.80/(8)(25)=0.01\]
Lol thank you. I actualyl jsut realized that I used the wrong thing and got the same answer. Possible you can assist me with another: 5.5*0.242/9.62*10.0 When I multiplied the numerators and denominators, I got 1.331/96.2. Divided that and had 0.013835758835- and so on. which was where it actually originated. Would it be the same thing?
Well, in that case, the number with the least number of significant figures in that calculation has 2, so you would keep 2 sigfigs: \[=0.014\]
That makes sense. I neglected to use the 0's.
