How would I draw the atom Lithium in it's ground and excited state following a Bohr model? I just need to know how to get there... :)

well the \[1s^2\] part is just saying that there are 2 electrons in the inner shell, the 's' orbital is spherical the next shell is 2s which is also spherical and has 1 electron
What I'm really confused about is how the diagram showed only 3 electrons when the PT says 7. I'm sure I'm missing something here. :/
no the periodic table say there are 7 nucleon, (that is neutrons and protons) only the protons have charge, and need to be balanced by electrons
The periodic Table simple states that Li is the 3rd element, but it has a mass of 7. which ties in with what UnkleR is saying.
Oh, I get it! I was just reading it wrong. Ok then, one more question: How would I be able to find out how many electrons an atom has in it's "excited form"? :)
well if the atom is excited , it has more energy, this could mean one of the electrons is is a higher orbital that the ground state,
