A 12ohm resistor is connected in series with a parallel combination of 10 resistors ,each of 200ohm.What is the net resistance of the circuit?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

equivalent parallel resistors is 20 ohm so we have two resistors one have 20ohm & other 12ohm then solve it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Taking the equivalent parallel resistors that can be calculate by the formula (1/Req) = \[1/R_{1} + 1/R_{2} + ... + 1/R_{n}\] you have Req = 20 ohm . If you use the formula of the equivallent series resistors, just sum the Req + 12 ohm = 32 ohm .
