what is the molar mass of an atom?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please try not to avoid the central question, iv been doing all these unit conversions and i just get confused as to when this comes up, how is the molar mass represented as an atom

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Molar mass is the atomic weight, as found on the periodic table, expressed in grams. Carbon for example tips the scale at 12.01 amu, so a mole of carbon has a mass of 12.02 grams and contains 6.022*10^23 atoms of carbon.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Molar mass is weight per mole.
