How can I identify a type of reaction just by looking at the chemical equation?

Attached are a few examples I'm working with.

Reactions of the type A+B-> AB are combination reactions. Reactions of the type AB+C-> AC+B are single displacement reaction. Reactions of the type AB+CD-> AC+BD are double displacement reactions. Reactions like AB-> A+B are decomposition reactions.

Yeah, but I still don't quite understand how to use that when dealing with chemical equations.
