Why do molecular substances with weak intermolecular forces have low melting points?

also like vice-versa: Why do molecular substances with strong intermolecular forces have high melting points?

Melting point is temperature at which teh substance gains enough energy to break its chemical bonds(not chemical change) and transform into liquid state...If the intermolecular force is less it needs only less energy(ie less temperature) to change its phase...from solid to liquid...
