after you have the exponents equal you distribute the 3 to (stuff)

8^(6+3x)=4 So now divide by 4 2^(6+3x)=1 Then take logs of both sides, if i remember correctly.
\[9x=2-18 => 9x=-16 => x=-\frac{16}{9}\]
