2NO + O[2] = 2NO[2] suppose that particular moment during the reaction NO is reacting at a rate of -0.076 M/s. at what rate is molecular oxygen reacting?

OpenStudy (rogue):

If the reaction is at equilibrium, both sides of the reaction are taking place at the same rate, but in opposite directions. So O2 would react at a rate of +0.076 M/s. Correct me if I'm wrong anybody.

OpenStudy (jfraser):

the change in concentrations follow the stoichiometric coefficients. You can't use NO faster than the rate at which you use O2, but only in relation to the balanced reaction. The rate of loss of O2 has to be half, or -0.038M/s
