Given the following equation: 2CrO4 2- (aq) + 2H+ (aq) <=> Cr2O7 2- (aq) + H2O Predict what will happen if: a) Add 0.3M NaOH drop by drop to 5 drops of 0.3M K2CrO42- (aq) I need a hint.

I think it will shift teh equilibrium....If you look at the eqn given it depends on pH...if you add NaOH the pH will shift and subsequently teh reaction will shift to left side...so chromate ion will form...so you can see a colour change as we move from dichromate to chromate....
