why is mass % more frequently used than molarity?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think its because we are familiar with mass than molarity..Its also depends on what you are looking at...? say for example if you are looking at the real chemistry of teh reaction then you have to use molarity whereas if you are more interested in the amount of substance you are using mass% is a good choice...as an example say I am investigating reaction to reduce teh use of some expensive chemical..molarity wont help me in expressing teh quantity..price is given as $/g. its better I express teh quantity in mass %..So I know how much amount I have used..an subsequently how much amount I have spend...
