next problem: x^2 + 5x = 3

\[\frac{x ^{2}}{3+2x}=-2\] Is it?

almost. only the (3) is in the denominator

\[x ^{2}=-2(3+2x)\] \[x ^{2}=-6-4x\]\[x ^{2}+4x+6=0\]

okay cool then I would just plug in a, b, c

a=1 b=4 c=6 \[x=\frac{-b \pm \sqrt{b ^{2}-4ac}}{2a}\]

I would just move these over and set to zero and plug in formula

\[x^2 + 5x = 3 \] \[x^2 + 5x -3=0\] a=1 b=5 c=-3

\[\sqrt{-3} \times \sqrt{-128}\] this is using imaginary numbers (i)
