A student needs 200ml of 1 M NaOH for an experiment. The stockroom has 12 M NaOH only. How can the student prepare 1 M NaOH from the 12 M available?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Try using the formula M1V1=M2V2 where M is the Molar n V is the volume. Change 200ml into 0.200L subs in value. 0.200(1)=12(V) V= 0.017L Hence u need 0.017L of 12M NaOH to equivalent with 200mL of 1M NaOH.
