A student makes hydrogen chloride by reacting sodium chloride with excess concentrated sulfuric acid at room temperature and pressure. NaCl + H2SO4-------->NaHSO4 + HCl (i) Calculate the maximum volume of hydrogen chloride that can be made from 0.2 moles of sodium chloride at room temperature and pressure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.2 moles of NaCL will give 0.2 moles of HCl...as you know one mole of any gas at STP occupies 22.4 litre...Now using teh equation P1VI/T1=P2V2/T2. find out teh volume of HCl produced...
