If it is true that 16n < 16 and p > 0 and p < 16 Which is true about n? Choices. A n > 0 and n< 1 B n > 1 C n < 0 D n=0
ignore everything about p you only want to know about n
16n<16 what does this say about n?
does it mean n is zero
16n < 16 You pass 16 to the other side dividing it n < 16/16 Can you do that now?
< this means anything lower than 16 n can be true as long as its lower than 16 keyword anything meaning you can have several values for n
n < 1 @melindaR
that's right, so which option would you choose?
A
but it doesn't say anything about n being > 0
hmmm. but 16 x .5 does equal 8
how did you do that?
i found out what is less than 1 but more than zero
thats not an equal sign is a lower than sign. 16 x .5 = 8 8<16 this just says 8 is lower than 16
i gtg lunch is ready
Ok. When you come back, can you tell me what's with p and q? Is there another exercise before this one?
@ash2326 does this make any sense to you?
@MelindaR according to the question we have info that n<1 and nothing else is given. So option A would be the possible answer here
Thanks!
Any time:)
