lim x->0 for e^2x-1/e^-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

correction lim x->0 for e^2x-1?e^x-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh my instead of ? i meant /

OpenStudy (turingtest):

\[\lim_{x\to0}{e^{2x}-1\over e^x-1}\]yes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes turning Test

OpenStudy (turingtest):

difference of squares

OpenStudy (anonymous):

using l'hopitals i got 2e^2x/e^x what next i know e^x is1 but what about the top derivative plz

OpenStudy (turingtest):

or l'hospital or divide top and bottom by e^x many ways to do it...

OpenStudy (turingtest):

if you are doing it the l'hospital way then just simplify \[\lim_{x\to0}{2e^{2x}\over e^x}\]and evaluate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok yes i see that, what will the numerator work out to? i know the denominator is 1

OpenStudy (turingtest):

why don't you just simplify it first?\[\lim_{x\to0}{2e^{2x}\over e^x}=\lim_{x\to0}2e^x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i see...thanks

OpenStudy (turingtest):

welcome
