You know the distance. Your job is to find the charge of each sphere. Now, Cu will have electron deficiency because it is a metal. Each Cu atom will have 29 protons, so its nuclear charge will be +29. So, how many total number of atoms are there? Use the mole concept(no of moles=mass/atomic weight). So no of atoms will be no of moles*avogadro's no. So, total nuclear charge is no of atoms*29. Find the electronic charge using the fact that it is 1% less than the nuclear charge. Then, use Coulomb's formula. I know that this is a very long process, but this is what I can come up with right now! Yawnnnnnnn...
