Describe in detail what you know about the enthalpy, entropy, and free energy changes when a sample of gas condenses to a liquid. How does temperature affect these changes?

OpenStudy (mani_jha):

Do you know the meaning of enthalpy and entropy?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

enthalpy looks at the energy needed whereas entropy looks at the organiztion of the particles themselves.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nvm i oslved it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Evaporation is endothermic so it is not affected by temperature In evaporation you go from structure that’s in order to a gas which means DS >0 The formula means that DG will be negative only which means at higher temperatures.

OpenStudy (mani_jha):

Good,so what do you think of condensation?
