PLEASE HELPP..?? (picture below)
@Steph_Rawr352 do you know Pythagoras theorem?
uhm no.. this is a chapter pretest so i dont know most of these questions
Okay, in a right triangle the square of the largest is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides. This is the Pythagoras theorem \[c^2=a^2+b^2\] c= hypotenuse a= perpendicular b= base|dw:1331835667353:dw|
Do you understand this?
yes i do but what i dont understand is that in the picture i posted of my question, 3 of the triangles are right triangles. but then its asking me which is a right triangle. but arent there THREE right triangle.. is this lik a trick question or something..?
A triangle will be a right triangle only when it verifies Pythagoras theorem. Did you check using that?
hint. only one is a right triangle
I've checked it there is only one correct option. Now you verify using the formula I gave you, a right triangle is the one which satisfies the Pythagoras relation
i have to square the largest side..?
Yeah square it and check if it's equal to the sum of the square of the two other sides
oh ohk i get it now.. thanks !(:
