assuming the volume of all gases in the reaction are measured at the same temperature and pressure, calculate the volume of water vapor obtainable by explosive reaction of a mixture of 725ml of hydrogen and 325ml of oxygen gas.

OpenStudy (rogue):

\[2H_2 + O_2 \rightarrow 2H_2 O\]325 mL of O2 requires 650 mL of H2 to react completely, so there is going to be leftover H2. According to the ratios in the reaction, 1 mL of O2 would yield 2 mL of H2O. So 325 mL of O2 would yield 650 mL of water vapor.
