If you have a percent and need to convert it to a decimal, you just DIVIDE it by 100. If you have a percent and need to convert it to a fraction, for example: 43%, Just re-write it as 43/100 and you're done. Or if you have 524%, you still divide it by 100. 524/100 = and then you can reduce it to its lowest common denominator.
ohhhhh so what if its a number that goes on forever like 11/12 which equals .916666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666etc.
Well then you can state that. You can say 11/12 = (the squiggly equals, not the straight one) .91667

One last thing... if you have 54.4% and want to convert it to a fraction, first re-write it as: 54.4/100 Now, multiply the top and bottom by 10 544/1000 and now you can reduce it. That will be your fraction.

Here's a harder one. If you have 5.4643%, how do you make it as a fraction? Step 1: 5.4643/100 Step 2: Move the decimal point for both the number on top and on bottom 4 places to the right. 54643/1000000 So however many numbers you have that are on the right side of the decimal, that's how many places you have to move the decimal point (to the right) for both the numerator and denominator.
