\[\lim_{x\to \pi+h} \tan x= \lim_{h\to 0} \tan (pi+h)= \lim_{h\to 0} \tan h= 0\] \[\lim_{x\to \pi-h} \tan x= \lim_{h\to 0} \tan (pi-h)= \lim_{h\to 0} -\tan h= 0\] So \[\lim_{x\to \pi} \tan x= 0\]
