well, perimter = all sides added up.. we have: 1 side length of 10 + 1 side length of 10 + 1 side length of 4 + 1 side length of 5 + one side length of 3 or more in math terms: 10 + 10 + 4 + 5 + 3 which can be written as: 2(10) + 3 + 4 + 5 which is answer B.
I thought there were two side lengths of 4...
you can always check your answer, too. 2*10 + 3 + 4 + 5 = 32 which is the correct perimiter (try adding up all the side lengths and see) all of the other answers give incorrect perimiter amounts.
perimiter only counts for the most outer edge of the figure. in this case: |dw:1332472317800:dw|
are the only things that matter. if you were attempting to find the perimiter of the individual shapes, or find the area you could use the line drawn down and that would be helpful in that respect
