what is the atomic theory contributions of De Broglie

OpenStudy (mani_jha):

De-broglie quantified the wave-like properties of an electron in an atom through his equation: \[\lambda=h/mv\] which suggests that any particle of mass m moving with speed v possesses wave-like properties with a wavelength. When electron was proved to be a wave, Schrodinger wrote down its wave equation and solved it to prove the quantization of energy and the presence of orbitals, proving Rutherford's model to be full of flaws.
