The title of Harper Lee's novel, To Kill a Mockingbird, is said to represent:
The death of the innocent.. Compare killing the mockingbird and killing Tom. Both innocents.
i kinda underdstood thatone allready thanks :D. Can i ask you another question?
It is to represent how wron it is to kill a defenseless creature who does nothing but sing sweetly. It does nothing to provoke attack.
Bambi the right answer is death of the innocent if that what you were trying to say.. Sofia, next question?
Its on ernest hemingway: Ernest Hemingway's writing style mirrored the rules he learned at the Kansas City Star. "where he prepped for Princeton, and played a very good end on the football team" and "hardened into a rather unattractive mould" are examples of: Answer use of slang using vigorous English elimination of superfluous words
i think it elimination of superflous words... am i right?
'When Atticus gives Jem and Scout air-rifles, he tells them they can "shoot all the bluejays [they] want" but that "it's a sin to kill a mockingbird."' ' It is believed that it is a sin to kill a mockingbird because they only cause pleasure with their song, they harm nobody. The title of the book alludes both to a scene towards the beginning where the main children characters are given air rifles and taught to shoot and to the character Boo Radley in the book who doesn't harm other creatures.'
yeah your right it's elimination of superfluous words
I would agree as its an extra un-necessary bit
In which novel did John Steinback employ a literary device similar to the intervention of the chorus in a Greek play? Guys are my constant questions bothering you... I dont want to annoy you...
and thanks for that ;)
No problem we are here to answer
Nah ;) it cool. The Grapes of Wrath: A Collection of Critical Essays. Ed. Robert Con Davis, 1982. 48-62. "Steinbeck's ideological neutrality from the political proletarian movements of the period allowed him distance, yet his intimate knowlege of the materials contributes to the novel's realism and authority. The creation of his characters, fully credible yet bearing a collective role, is brilliant, as are his use of symbols and other devices. The most important is dramatization, so reminiscent of medieval mystery plays, a Greek chorus, and biblical stories."
answer: The Grapes of Wrath
if I am not mistaken, though i am not so sure... Isnt it the grapes of wrath
Haha! yeah!! :D
