A 6.5 L sample of nitrogen at 24 degree Celsius and 1.5 atm is allowed to expand to 13.0 L. The temperature increases to 40 degrees Celsius. What is the final pressue? I have calculated the first part: (1.5)(6.5) = 13x => 0.75 atm but I am not sure what to do about the increase of 40 degree Celsius. Please advise.

we use our first gas law which is \[{P_{1} V_{1} \over T_{1}} = {P_{2} V_{2} \over T_{2}}\] Just convert the degrees to K by adding 273.15 to each C then solve. You have everything but P2
