ans is ac root 12/5 bc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here is the answer

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

hmmm the way i do this is..to change everything to exponential form so... (48)^1/2 (a^2)^1/2 (b)^1/2(c^3)^1/2 all over (20)^1/2 change 48 and 20 to factors of perfect squares... (16 x 3)^1/2 (a^2)^1/2 (b)^1/2(c^3)^1/2 all over (4 x 5)^1/2 so... 4 (3)^1/2 (a^2/2) (b^1/2) (c^3/2) all over 2 (5)^1/2 get rid of the exponents.... 4ac sqrt (bc) all over 2 sqrt 5 simplify... 2ac sqrt (bc/5) if you want it further simplified...use rationalization 2 ac sqrt (5bc) / 5

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

looks like i left out 3 there... lemme rephrase that 2ac sqrt (15bc) /5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you all :)

OpenStudy (kropot72):

First simplfy the expression under the square root sign by dividing the numerator and the denominator by 4. \[\sqrt{(12a ^{2}bc ^{3})\div5}\] Then take 4a^2c^2 outside the square root symbol (remembering to take the square root of each term as you do so) giving the answer:\[2ac \sqrt{(3bc)\div5}\]
