What does it mean for a system to be in a state of dynamic equilibrium?

OpenStudy (blues):

Consider the reaction A + B --> AB. The reaction goes until the number of A and B molecules turning into AB equals the number of AB molecules converting back to A and B in any given time frame. That is dynamic equilibrium. Dynamic because individual molecules are still undergoing chemical processes. Equilibrium because the absolute ratio of [reactants] to [product] is not changing.
