The SI unit of time is the second, which is defined as 9,192,631,770 cycles of radiation associated with a certain emission process in the Cesium atom. Calculate the wavelength of this radiation (to 3 sig figs). In which region of the electromagnetic spectrum is the wavelength found?

So we know that frequency is equal to the speed of light over lambda which is wavelenght from this equation:\[f={c \over \lambda}\] We just switch frequency with wavelength and get\[\lambda = {299,792,458 m(s) \over (s) (9,192,631,770cycles)}\] The seconds cancel and you get meters per cycle which is wavelength. Convert to nano meters and you get an answer with a power to the 7th which is microwaves.
