There are three of them, so the area of the circles is 3*9π = 27π. Assuming the shaded region is everything except the circles... SR (shaded region) = whole thing - non shaded part Whole thing is the rectangle. Part is the circles. 108 - 27π yds² is your answer. Using 3.14 for pi, SR approx = 23.22 yd²
