The hydronium ion concentration of a solution that has a pH of 4.12 is 7.59 * 10^-9 M TRUE OR FALSE?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-\log[H_30^+] = pH\]\[10^{-pH} = [H_30^+]\] You tell me. Post what you get.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's false but I'm not sure so that's why I posted the question...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So I gave you the conversions between pH and hydronium concentration. Just pick one and plug it in. The answer is not false. Kinda hard to not give you the answer when it's 50/50.\[10^{-4.12}= [hydronium]\] Do that and tell me what you get.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is false...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You are correct. Because it's to the negative 9th when it should be to the negative fifth.

I hate these silly computer calculators and their crazy long accuracy. I always miss the exponent becuase i don't want to look all the way to the right. Do you understand how to do these from now on though?
