5(y^2+7y-3)/(v-3)(v+6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

don't we need a common denominator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not for that particular one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Don't know if the following is the "answer" but it looks impressive. \[\frac{5 v^2}{(v-3) (v+6)}+\frac{35 v}{(v-3) (v+6)}-\frac{15}{(v-3) (v+6)} \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why don't we need a common denominator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

denominator is undefined

OpenStudy (anonymous):

even if you multiply (v+6) and (v-3), there's no way to divide the numerator with it, so you're better off leaving it as is (exactly like Mike's answer)
