Estimate the value, correct to 1 significant figure.
yes...go on..im listening...
\[\sqrt{8.01\times25.01}\]
How about this one? \[\left( \sqrt{8.01\times25.01} \right)\div1.99\]
\[\sqrt{8.01\times 25.01} = \sqrt{200.3301} \]Do you mind using your calculator a little bit?
No. I am not allowed to use a calculator in this question.
round to sqrt(8*25), then it becomes 50sqrt2. In other words, about 50*1.414
1 significant figure just means one digit, i'm pretty sure.
*10sqrt(2)
so, the number is around 14
@inkyvoyd i think you mean 10 sqrt 2 yes? because the sqrt of 25 = 5 and the sqrt of 8 is 2 sqrt 2
1 significant figure here means the first digit you see.. i think so it should be 10...
Could somebody please explain how to do the second one I posted? The answer is 10. But I don't know how to get it. :/
one siginificant figure means one digit.
