Le Chatelier's Principle chemistry question? 2NO + H2 <==> N2O + H2O If the pressure is decreased, in which direction will the equilibrium shift (left or right)? The H2O is a gas. Can someone please explain the answer to me? Thank you!

There are 3 moles of junk on the left and two moles of junk on the right. That was found just by adding the numerical prefixes on each side. We know that le chat's principle states that a reaction will always tend towards equilibrium so if you decrease the pressure that means you have an increase in volume therefore your reaction will shift in the direction that takes up more volume. The left side has more molecules than the right so the reaction will shift left with a decrease in volume.

According to ths reaction...there are 3 Moles on the left side and 2 Moles in the right side of the equation.( Le Chatelier's Principle states that when a change is made to a closed system in an equilibrium, the system moves so as to oppose that change). In this case, condition is pressure decrease so the side moves from less pressure to more pressure( N2O + H2O= 2NO + H2 ) this reaction is favoured.(left side of the reaction is favoured)..
