What are IMF's? Please define clearly.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

IMF = Intramolecular forces These are forces that take place WITHIN molecules. Depending on the atoms present within the molecule, electrons are attracted unequally between them. If one has more protons, the electrons are more attracted to that atom than the others. This is known as "polar". So IMF's describe the interactions and forces between atoms and components within a molecule.
