Balance the following redox equation in basic solution: H2O2(aq)+ClO2(aq)->ClO2^-(aq)+O2(g)

OpenStudy (jfraser):

separate the reaction into its 2 half-reactions. \[H_{2}O_{2} \rightarrow O_{2}\]and \[ClO_{2} \rightarrow ClO_{2}^{-1}\] Then balance each one separately in basic conditions. Multiply if you have to so the electrons cancel, and add the 2 half-reactions back together again.
