help plz, easy question :) __________________________ what is the valency electrons ?and how do we get it ?
The valence electrons are those electrons that are at the outermost electron shell of the atom. To find them, just use the Group Number on your periodic table. That is is an indicator as to how many valence electrons the elements in the column have. This does NOT apply for the transition metals block, however.
For example, Group 1A has the metal Na in it. "1" indicates to you how many valence electrons the elements in this column have. So, Na will have 1 valence electron.
valence electrons are the electrons of an atom that can participate in the formation of chemical bonds with other atoms. to find them look on periodic table.
aha @QRAwarrior I got it ,but if he gave me a compound ,like fecl3 ?how to get that ?
