OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide across by 4, bring cos(x) over so that sin(x) = 1- cos^2(x) / sin(x) = sin^2(x) ...divide across by sin(x) ...sin(x) = 0 x = 0, pi I think :/

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

use sin^2 + cos^2 = 1 or cos^2 = 1 - sin^2 then 4 sin(x) + 4(1-sin^2(x) = 4 4sin(x) - 4sin^2(x) = 0 4sin(x)(1 - sin(x) = 0 sin(x) = 0 or 1 sin(x) = 0 x = 0, pi, 2pi sin(x) = 1 x = pi/2
