electrons in electrolysis moves from anode to cathode or from cathode to anode? i suppose it is cathode to anode but im not sure
yes - as i reasoned out, anode is positive electrode and cathode is negative electrode. But in my book, it is given that in daniel cell, the electrons move from anode to cathode. why is that?
In Daniell cell or voltaic cell oxidation takes place on anode. While reduction takes place on cathode. Do you know this? Have you read this in your book?

They flow from what is being oxidized to what is being reduced (remember oxidation is loss & reduction is gain). anode is oxidized and cathode is reduced. so anode to cathode..
okay so flow of electrons is from anode to cathode but flow of electrical discharge is from cathode to anode?
@goutham1995 CELL: Cathode is positively charged. and anode is negatively charged. so anode to cathode. Circuits: we use conventional current i.e. from positive terminal to negative terminal.

let me try an other aproach what i have said aplies in the solution there positive particals f.e. Na+(kation) goes to negative plate(=kathode) and negative particals f.e.
