Calc 1...picture included. Part B.
Would I use right hand sum and left hand sum to estimate?
looks like Simpson's rule orTrapezoidal rule for approximating to me
I agree that Simpson's rule is best in that case...
I am unfamiliar with the names of certain rules and no where in my book does it say that ....would that be (change in time)*(#+#+#+#+#)?
the simplest form or Simpson's Rule is \[\int\limits_{a}^{b} f(x) dx \approx (b - a)/6(f(a) + 4f((a+b)/2 + f(b))\]
If you haven't covered the Simpson's rule yet then I would suggest using the Midpoint rule.
Okay yeah...that seemed a bit past what I'm learning...thanks though guys, gonna hit the book for a while
or the trapezoidal rule is easy... uses the area of a trapeziums... A = (b - a)/2(f(a) +f(b)) and just keep repeating
Much thanks
