A patient in a hospital is requested to have at least 84 units of drug A and 120 unites of drug B each day. Each gram of substance M contains 10 units of drug A and 8 units of drug B and each gram of substance N contains 2 units of A and 4 units of drug B. How many grams of substances M and N can be mixed to meet the minimum daily requirements?
wait.. let me think.. @apam
M = A : B 10 : 8 N = A : B 2 : 4
10x + 2y = 84, 8x + 4y = 120
checking..
i think it's correct. we will get M = 4 grams N = 22 grams.
what do you think @PsychoTink
Right-o! @saifoo.khan
i can't believe i did that.
I can:D
lol @Open2study
I didn't solve the equations, I'm going to assume that works out, the final numbers work out properly though.
