OpenStudy (anonymous):

2570 g of water is heated at just boiling, if the water absorbs 4.97x 10^5 J of heat in the process, what is the initial temperature of the water? I need to know how to solve for the 'delta T' part. that is where I am hung up.

OpenStudy (experimentx):

head absorbed = masss in kg * sp. heat capacity * difference in temperature Final temperature will be 373 K so initial temp will be 373 - difference in temp K

OpenStudy (p0sitr0n):

E = mcdelta T
