The formula for the volume of a sphere is 4/3(pi)r^3. The diameter is 10 feet so r(radius) is 5 feet. So (4/3) (3.14)(5)^3 is the total volume of the sphere. But it is only half full so you would calculate (2/3)(3.14)(5)^3.

A

so i just calculate all those right???
OpenStudy (pfenn1):
yep

You have not stated what units you want the answer in, but for cubic feet:
(4/3(pi r^3)) /2 = 261.67 ft^3.

so its not C??? right???
OpenStudy (pfenn1):
no, you forgot that it is only 1/2 full, so divide by 2 and the answer is A

ok... thanks man... or woman
OpenStudy (anonymous):
it was A so i agree with pfenn1 it was 261.67 and round up 261.66
