SO I know the bottom is 5-i, and you have to multiply the top and bottom by the congugate which is 5+i... but after that, I just get lost.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

\[\frac{6i}{5-i}\times\frac{5+i}{5+i}\]

Right, then I got \[30i+6i ^{2}\]/\[25-i ^{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and i^2 means negative one right...? so it'd be -6? I think...

OpenStudy (mertsj):

\[\frac{30i+6i^2}{25-i^2}=\frac{-6+30i}{25+1}=\frac{-6+30i}{26}=\frac{-3+15i}{13}\]
