True or False: -covalent bonds share electron pairs. -inert gases are highly electronegative. -ionic bonds result from high electronegativity differences.

OpenStudy (rogue):

1. True, electrons are shared in covalent bonds. 2. False, noble gases do not have electronegativity as they have a full stable octet and so do not need any more electrons. That is why they do not normally react. 3. True, the strong electronegativity difference allows atoms to effectively "steal" electrons from one another, forming ionic bonds. #2 is not technically entirely false, but I don't think it has to be complicated since it's true or false. So just keep it false.

both true

all are true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. True 2. False Inert gases hardly react with other elements at all. 3. True :D
