Factor out the GCF from the polynomial 14y^5+8^3 I know the GCF of 14,5 is 2. I just don't know where to go from there help please.....

ok, this a little odd, not your normal factoing, start out by simplifing the 8 cubed

then all you can factor out is a 2

\[2(7y ^{5} + 256)\]

so you would divide 14/2 and 8/2

\[8^{3}= 512\]

so you have 14/2 and 512/2

your GCF is 2 and when it is on the outside of the paranthases that means it has been "factored out" you could use the distributive property to get back to the origianl problem
