Eight dipoles of charges of magnitude e are placed inside a cube. The total electric flux coming out of the cube will be....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the total electric fux=Qinside/epslon but the Qinside =0 because each dipole has net charge zero(q+(-q)=0)..put this value and get your answer..it will be Zero..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The electric field E exerts a force qE on charge +q and a force -qE on charge -q of the dipoles .since these forces are equal and opp.,they add upto 0

thnQ Taufique and guru ....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ gurvinder.. according to you...the net force is zero right but what is the relation ,you fond between net force and electric flux..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see this net flux= flux coming+ flux out going if we take flux coming is -ve flux out going is +ve in this case flux coming = flux out going there fore net flux= 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

swalah r u sure?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

100%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Swalah is right neha because on the negative electric lines of force terminates and electric lines of forces start from positive charge ,it is clear from figure.. |dw:1335991491558:dw| due to same magnitude of charge ,the total out going electric lines of force through area will be equal to total incoming lines of force. hence net electric flux=total outgoing electric lines of force /total incoming lines of force =zero
