Find the Derivative...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where karina

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in the attached file

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so my system is not allowing the file it has virus

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok hold on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hopefully it doesnt say that is has a virus..

OpenStudy (lalaly):

do you know the product rule and the quotient rule?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah but i get lost in the process

OpenStudy (lalaly):

oh ok,, in this question u need to use them both first thing u do is\[\frac{d}{dx}(\frac{x^3+3}{(4x+3)(3x+2)})\]u take the derivative of the nominator and multiply it by the denominator then u take the derivative of the denominator and multiply it by the numinator and find the difference between them,, then divide the whole answer by the denominator squared \[\frac{d}{dx}=\frac{\frac{d}{dx}(x^3+3) \times (4x+3)(3x+2)- \frac{d}{dx}((4x+3)(3x+2)) \times (x^3+3)}{(4x+3)^2(3x+2)^2}\]

OpenStudy (lalaly):

\[=\frac{3x^2(4x+3)(3x+2)-(4(3x+2)+3(4x+3)) )\times (x^2+3)}{(4x+3)^2(3x+2)^2}\]

OpenStudy (lalaly):

notice that for the derivative of the denominator u need to use the product rule

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oooh okay... gotcha :)

OpenStudy (lalaly):

:)
