If they all have the same number of oranges how can one person have more than another?
This question is weird.
..I thought d..vLet the number of oranges Jack had be x and Jill y.
Number of oranges Jack has = x - 5
Number of oranges Jill has = y + 5
Number of oranges Jill has after giving 2 oranges to Mary = y + 5 - 2
= y + 3
Since all of them have the same number of oranges,
x - 5 = y + 3 or x = y + 3 + 5 or x = y + 8
Hence Jack has 8 more oranges than Jill has.
