Strontium compounds are often used in flares because their flame colour is bright red. One industrial process to produce low-solubility strontium compounds (that are less affected by getting wet) involves the reaction of aqueous solutions of strontium nitrate and sodium carbonate. Write the balanced chemical equation, total ionic equation and net ionic equation for this reaction.

balanced: Sr(NO3)2(aq) + Na2CO3(aq) -->SrCO3(s) + 2NaNO3(aq) total: Sr^2+ + 2NO3^11 + 2Na^1+ + CO3^2- --> SrCO3 + 2Na^1+ + NO3^1- Net: Sr^2+ + CO3^2- ---> SrCO3
